Cameron Carter-Vickers Tottenham Hotspur career is coming to an end with the USA international set to join Bournemouth on a permanent transfer, according to TEAMtalk.

After 11 years and just four first-team appearances, it is about time ‘CCV’ put down his roots away from north London.

With Nathan Ake leaving to join Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in a staggering £50 million deal, there is a vacancy open at the heart of the Bournemouth back line.

The Cherries’ dismal defensive record is the main reason why they will be playing against Luton rather than Liverpool this season and, after conceding twice in the opening day clash with Blackburn Rovers, reinforcements cannot come soon enough.

In Carter-Vickers, Cherries boss Jason Tindall will get his mitts on a man whose impressive performances helped Luton Town escape the drop earlier in the summer.

TEAMtalk claims that Bournemouth are close to tying up a permanent deal, with Tottenham opting to include a sell-on clause as part of the deal in case Carter-Vickers fulfils his vast potential in the second tier.

Despite the departure of long-serving Jan Vertonghen, the eight-capped USMNT star is still stuck well down the pecking order at Spurs, behind Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and the promising Japhet Tanganga.

Tottenham are reported to value Carter-Vickers at around £4 million.
