According to a report from ESPN, Tottenham are looking to battle both Arsenal and Manchester United for the signature of Hoffenheim starlet Nadiem Amiri.

Amiri has been excellent for the Bundesliga side this season, scoring twice and contributing two assists in 13 top flight appearances for Julian Nagelsmann’s men.

ESPN reports that the 21-year-old’s form has attracted plenty of attention from elsewhere, with Tottenham, Arsenal and United all keen to bring Amiri – who has been compared to Dele Alli – to the Premier League in the near future.

It is no surprise that the Germany under-21 international is attracting attention. Amiri is capable of playing in a variety of roles in attack, but has predominantly thrived in central midfield this season.

ESPN adds that Amiri is under contract with Hoffenheim until 2020, so they will certainly be under no pressure to sell him during one of the coming windows – surely meaning that Spurs, the Gunners or United will have to make a substantial bid if they hope to make a happen in the near future.

But based on the promise that the midfielder has shown during his brief career and the list of clubs chasing his signature, meeting whatever Hoffenheim’s demands are will surely prove worthwhile.
