According to Foot Mercato, Tottenham are interested in signing Bordeaux playmaker Yacine Adli, who AC Milan are also chasing.
What’s the story?
Well, the French news outlet believe N17 is a potential destination for Adli, who wants to move abroad.
The 21-year-old has been at Bordeaux since 2019 after completing a €5.5m (£4.7m) move from Paris Saint-Germain, as he wanted game time.
Now, he could make a switch to the Premier League.
AC Milan have offered €12m (£10.2m) for the Frenchman, whereas Tottenham’s interest has not resulted in a bid as of yet.
Lille are also keen, according to Foot Mercato‘s report.
Evidently, if Spurs are to sign Adli, they must fend off two huge clubs in AC Milan and the champions of France.
Who does Yacine Adli play like?

Adli is far from a household name, so a comparison to a more familiar player might prove to be helpful.
Fortunately, Breaking The Lines have analysed the Bordeaux No.19, where they found an interesting statistic.
Adli registers 25.86 pressures per 90 minutes, which puts him in the top 3% of midfielders in Europe’s top five leagues for that metric.
In comparison, Mason Mount – who is considered a brilliant presser – recorded 21.29 presses per game in the 2020/21 campaign.

Clearly, Adli is a hard worker, who is hungry to win the ball back when his side is without it.
The France Under-20 international is also a very fine, technical player with the ball at his feet too, so he has the potential to be the full package.
Tottenham fans, you could soon have a gem on your hands.
