According to Sky Sports (18:12), Tottenham have been looking at versatile Palmeiras wonderkid Gabriel Menino ahead of a potential swoop.
The 20-year-old can operate at right-back or in the centre of midfield, and has already made great strides so far in his short career.
Tottenham have been eyeing South American talent, after new work permit rules were introduced following the introduction of Brexit.
Previously, there were many obstacles preventing Premier League clubs from signing South America’s finest, although it’s now a more simple process.
Given his age and lack of experience, you may not know much about Menino.

However, Goal made an interesting comparison which should give you a good idea about the type of player he is.
They described him as the Brazilian Yaya Touré after learning that Menino’s former youth coach – Gustavo Nabinger – made him watch videos of the Ivory Coast icon.
What’s also exciting about the Brazilian is that Goal discussed him as a potential heir to Dani Alves in the Brazil national team.

To have a player likened to Touré, but also tipped to replace a hugely technical right-back, is an interesting combination.
However, it speaks volumes about the many strings to Menino’s bow.
With Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier failing to nail down the right-back role in north London, the Palmeiras star could be a fantastic signing for Spurs.
