Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly become the latest club to have a look at signing Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain.

Rabiot is one of the most impressive holding midfielders anywhere in Europe, and looks set to spark a bidding war between some of the best clubs on the continent with his contract at Parc des Princes set to expire next summer.
It appears that he will be on his way out of PSG. The Mirror reports that he has turned down several contract offers from the Ligue 1 side, and now has the likes of Spurs, Liverpool and Barcelona after his signature.
It is not clear whether Tottenham plan to make an approach in January in the hope of agreeing a pre-contract deal ahead of the summer, or will look to make a concrete bid that, if accepted, would allow Rabiot to join Spurs for the second-half of the season.
Should Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy manage to get something done with Rabiot, you would imagine that that would signal the end of Mousa Dembele’s career with Spurs.

The Belgian is out of contract next summer and there has been plenty of speculation about his future which has continued into this season. He has not been at his best, and that form has perhaps forced Pochettino to face up to the fact that he will soon need replacing.
Should they get a deal done, Rabiot would be a phenomenal addition. And potentially getting him on a free transfer would arguably have to go down as one of the best pieces of business that Levy has done.
