Crystal Palace instantly turned down Tottenham’s approach.

Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura.
But he might not have been the club’s top target.
Spurs’ approach was instantly knocked back, with Palace stating he was ‘not for sale’.

The Guardian reported last month that Zaha was valued at around £40 million, although Palace may feel this estimation should be even higher, such is his importance to them.
With Palace in the midst of a relegation scrap, signing him mid-season was always going to be a nigh on impossible task for Spurs.
Zaha signed a new contract last summer, strengthening Palace’s hand in any transfer negotiations.

Lucas Moura is certainly not a bad alternative, with the Brazilian bringing with him international and Champions League experience.
Although given their recent lack of success from imports form Ligue 1, it is understandable that Spurs sought out a proven Premier League performer first.
