According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur could move for Watford striker Troy Deeney having been offered a deal.
It’s claimed that Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Deeney, with Watford ready to offload him because he’s one of their big earners.
Deeney allegedly earns £65,000-a-week at Vicarage Road (Spotrac), and the Hornets seemingly don’t want those wages on their books in the Championship.
Spurs have discussed an initial loan deal for Deeney according to this report, but he only has one year left on his contract with Watford.
They are unlikely to agree to a loan deal that runs until his contract ends, so it may take some time to find an agreement.
The 32-year-old hit 10 Premier League goals this past season, and his record in the top flight now stands at 47 goals in five season.

Spurs need a target man figure to take some pressure off Harry Kane, and Deeney would fit the bill despite his advancing years.
Some Spurs fans last week floated the idea of going for Deeney following his relegation to the Championship, and it seems that Mourinho is seemingly interested himself.
