Swansea City are thought to be interested in the enigmatic attacker.
Nacer Chadli celebrates scoring the third goal for Tottenham
Tottenham have placed a £20 million price tag on out-of-favour attacker Nacer Chadli, according to the Mirror.
Swansea City and Borussia Dortmund have both been linked with the 27-year old but the Mirror’s report suggests the Swans are unwilling to meet the steep valuation.
Chadli has shown flashes off his ability and scored some important goals in his three seasons at Spurs but has never really nailed down a first-team place.
Tottenham’s Nacer Chadli scores a goal which is later disallowed
The Belgian international has a habit of drifting in and out of games and it is that inconsistency which has pushed him further from Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up.
Chadli has scored 25 goals in 119 appearances for Spurs but found his role limited to mainly substitute appearances last season, managing just seven goals in 40 appearances.
Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy
£20 million is a substantial figure, even in today’s market conditions, considering his output last season and Daniel Levy will likely have to compromise on a lower sum if he wants to move the Belgian on.
Spurs have added Vincent Janssen to their attack this summer and with Heung-Min Son likely to improve on his debut campaign, Chadli will find game time limited at Spurs this season.
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou at Marseille
Beyond that, the Lilywhites are still in the hunt for Georges-Kevin Nkoudou – according to France Football – and adding another attacking midfielder will surely push Chadli out the exit door.
