Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a blow as Giovani Lo Celso’s injury could keep him out for weeks yet, the Guardian report.
Lo Celso has not played a game for Tottenham in 2021, but there were hopes that he would return by February when he first picked up the problem.
However, Spurs are now resigned to being without Lo Celso at least until March – and the Guardian say that the wait could be longer.
Jose Mourinho apparently is ‘resigned’ to the fact that he could be without Lo Celso for some time yet, with the injury proving to be a severe one.
The news rather sums up the way that this season has gone for Lo Celso.
The former Real Betis man was one of the stars of the show in Mourinho’s first half season in charge, but he has just been unable to stay off the treatment table this time around.

Tottenham are really missing Lo Celso’s creativity and dynamism from midfield, too.
With Tanguy Ndombele firing on all cylinders, Spurs would have benefitted from being able to pair him with Lo Celso in midfield, but the duo have barely been able to play together this season, due to the Argentine’s injury issues.
