According to TEAMtalk, Harry Kane wants £500,000-a-week to stay at Tottenham, with Spurs said to be considering the demand.

Well, what a turn of events this would be.
TEAMtalk believe there’s still a chance of Kane signing a new contract with Tottenham.
Daniel Levy is considering the 28-year-old’s wage demands, although he is said to be against including a release clause in any new contract.
The Tottenham supremo doesn’t do release clauses, but according to Eurosport, Kane is hoping Levy goes against his usual policies.
In our view, he’s highly unlikely to do that.
To us, this doesn’t sound like Kane is now considering staying in N17.
It seems as if the England international is more focused on getting Levy to agree to a release clause, which gives him an escape route.

If this actually happened, and Kane signed a £500,000-a-week contract, he would be firmly amongst the best paid players on the planet.
In fact, he would become the fifth-highest earner in the world, according to MARCA.
The Spanish news outlet believe Gareth Bale is currently football’s fifth-highest earner on £499,487-a-week.
Kane would jump above him into fifth place if Levy agreed to pay him £500,000-a-week, by the small matter of just over £500.
It would be quite the statement by Tottenham, albeit a foolish one.
Committing to such a salary would be huge for Spurs, and you have to wonder if that pay packet would be better off spread across the team.
