According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Lazio are preparing to try and hijack Tottenham Hotspur’s move for Beijing Guoan defender Kim Min-jae.
It’s claimed that Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is ready to make his move, as they know Spurs have yet to strike an agreement.
PSV Eindhoven have already offered around €15million (£13.5million) for Kim, but they haven’t agreed a deal either.
Lazio are ready to swoop in, with Rare desperate to strengthen the defence ahead of a title push next season.
Kim, 23, has starred in China with Beijing Guoan, and is nicknamed ‘Monster’ back home in South Korea.
90Min reported last month that Tottenham were confident of securing Kim’s signature, despite interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.

Weeks on, Spurs have yet to agree a deal with Beijing Guoan, and now risk missing out on Son Heung-min’s international teammate.
Jose Mourinho needs a new centre back this summer having released Jan Vertonghen, and Lazio planning their move may just spark Spurs into life.
