Tottenham could reportedly miss out on the signing of Besiktas youngster Ridvan Yilmaz, with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt now in talks with the Turkish international.
According to Sport1, the UEFA Europa League champions have opened initial discussions to sign the 21-year-old fullback, however, talks are already on hold with Frankfurt unable to agree a fee with Besiktas to sign Yilmaz, who reportedly value the defender at £8.5m.
Frankfurt are not alone in their interest to sign Yilmaz, though, with Tottenham also reportedly keen on signing the talented defender, with Antonio Conte pushing to sign the left-back as part of his summer overhaul of the north London side which has currently seen four new players join.
Moreover, according to the player himself, Yilmaz’s biggest dream is to play for a club like Tottenham in the Premier League, with the Besiktas academy graduate having lofty ambitions of one day being a regular in England’s top division after making a name for himself in the Turkish Super Lig.
Indeed, Yilmaz was a regular for Besiktas last season as the Black Eagles finished a disappointing sixth in the league standings, with their star defender now looking for a move this summer amid interest from Tottenham and now Frankfurt, who are seemingly struggling to sign the youngster.

Yilmaz is a man in demand with two top sides in Frankfurt and Tottenham interested in signing the talented defender, yet with the German side now losing ground in the race to land the 21-year-old, Spurs must use this chance to capture the fullback’s signature in the coming days.
After all, Tottenham could do with an additional wingback out on the left, and Yilmaz could be an exceptional option for Conte given his quality, potential and experience, not to mention a rather cheap price tag of just £8.5m, which could potentially drop in the coming weeks.
