Tottenham Hotspur could yet make a last minute bid for Milan Skriniar of Inter Milan, the London Evening Standard report.
Tottenham have been in negotiations with Inter for Skriniar over the past week, but finding an agreeable price has been a difficult task.
Inter currently want more than what Spurs are willing to pay for the Slovakian, and Jose Mourinho’s side have started looking at alternative options.
Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger is now considered a potential target for Spurs, according to the Standard.
However, the report suggests that Jose Mourinho’s men could yet make an ‘eleventh hour’ bid for the defender.
That may be part of a negotiation tactic from Daniel Levy, which is designed to get Skriniar’s price down.

Spurs could be hoping that, with time running out, Inter feel more pressure to cash in on the 25-year-old, who has slipped down the pecking order under Antonio Conte.
Skriniar, who is on a £70,000-a-week contract currently (FC Inter News), did start for Inter in the week though, as they picked up a comfortable victory against Benevento.
Tottenham have already had a very productive transfer window, but Mourinho is understood to be ‘desperate’ to make one more signing, as he looks to strengthen his side’s defence.
