According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur could loan out Ryan Sessegnon this summer after a frustrating first season in North London.
Sessegnon notably wasn’t even on the bench last night as Tottenham beat Everton 1-0. Instead, Jose Mourinho put youngster Dennis Cirkin on the bench.
The £25million summer signing from Fulham has only managed 12 appearances in all competitions this season, and hasn’t played since football returned.
It’s now stated that Tottenham have faith in Sessegnon’s ability, but believe he needs minutes in order to develop – and he could be loaned out to get playing time.
An interesting note in the report states that Tottenham want to bring down Southampton’s £35million asking price for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with Kyle Walker-Peters making a permanent move there one option.
Yet with Sessegnon now available on loan too, he could be used as part of a move too, with his availability strengthening Tottenham’s position.

The 20-year-old’s ability to play at left back could be appealing, whilst he would also fit in on the left flank in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s 4-4-2 system.
Having seen Walker-Peters impress on loan in recent games, Spurs may be keen to see Sessegnon develop at Southampton too, and it would also fit in with what Daniel Levy wants; he isn’t keen on sending Sessegnon to a direct rival.
Sessegnon’s availability will no doubt interest many Premier League sides, and Tottenham will have to pick his next destination carefully as he seeks playing time.
