Tottenham Hotspur will allegedly face competition from Roma in the race to sign the Barcelona forward.

According to a report from the Sun, Tottenham could be pipped by Roma in their attempts to sign Malcom from Barcelona this month.
The Daily Star reported on Tuesday that Spurs wanted to sign the Brazilian, with Harry Kane set to miss around 6-8 weeks with an ankle injury.
With Lucas Moura also currently out injured, and Heung-Min Son away on international duty, Mauricio Pochettino will be desperately seeking reinforcements in the attacking department this month.
Malcom can play anywhere along the front-line, and he would be a welcome addition for Tottenham.
The 21-year-old has struggled since moving to Barcelona from Bordeaux in the summer, and a change of scenery might be just what he needs to help reinvigorate his career.
Whether that is with Tottenham or Roma, however, remains to be seen.

The Sun claims that the Italian outfit have stolen a march on Spurs by already opening talks with Barcelona regarding the possibility of signing Malcom this month.
So if Pochettino truly wants the Brazilian, he must act fast, and prove to both Barcelona and the player himself that Tottenham are serious about bringing him to north London this month.
