According to 90Min, Tottenham Hotspur are one of a number of clubs to have made contact with Real Madrid about Achraf Hakimi.

It’s claimed that Spurs, along with Chelsea and Manchester City, have asked about the availability of Hakimi.

The Moroccan has been out on loan at Dortmund this season. The Bundesliga side are ‘desperate’ to sign him permanently, but it could be difficult to land him.

Not only have the English clubs asked about a deal, but Inter Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested.

Hakimi, 21, allegedly sees his long-term future at Real, and won’t decide to leave until pre-season when he can assess his situation.

Dani Carvajal’s quality and reliability means he is hard to usurp. Fellow right back Alvaro Odriozola has found that, with little playing time since arriving.

Hakimi would be some signing for Spurs. He has racked up nine goals and 10 assists this season, showing his ability as an attack-minded right back with the end product to match his intentions.

Serge Aurier needs competition, but cash has to be a problem here. Spurs won’t be able to spend big this summer due to the global pandemic, and unless Real want to loan out Hakimi again, it’s hard to see Tottenham landing him.

If Real do want to loan him, a third season at Dortmund seems most likely. This may be a case of ‘you don’t get if you don’t ask’, but Spurs will surely find it hard to pull off a deal.
