Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to get more information about Sporting Lisbon wing-back Pedro Porro, according to O Jogo.
Tottenham Hotspur contact Manchester City over Pedro Porro
The Portuguese publication have reported that Tottenham want to sign Porro from Sporting in the January transfer window.
Spurs, though, have doubts over the physical condition of the 23-year-old, who can operate as a right-back or as a winger, and so they have made contact with City.
The Spain international was on the books of defending Premier League champions City from 2019 until 2022.
After a two-year loan spell at Sporting, the youngster made the deal permanent in the summer of 2022.

O Jogo have reported that Porro has a release clause of €45 million (£39.36 million) in his contract at Sporting.
And the Portuguese giants will not accept anything less.
Smart decision
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur are being very smart over Pedro Porro by contacting Manchester City.
The wing-back struggled to make an impact at City, and while that could be because of the quality of players at the club, it makes sense for Tottenham to understand the youngster’s situation a bit better.
It also shows that Tottenham have a good working relationship with City.
