According to Football London, Tottenham are desperate for a new leader to come in at the heart of their defence, and one name on their radar is Lewis Dunk.

The 29-year-old has proven himself as one of the best leaders in the Premier League, helping Brighton towards safety in each of the last three seasons, and it looks as though he’ll be guiding them towards a fourth this term.

The defender is certainly a leader at the back, he’s the Seagulls’ captain and he’s certainly vocal.

The Brighton ace reportedly has his admirers within Tottenham as they consider their options for a summer transfer, but, as you can imagine, he’s not the only player on their radar.

Indeed, Spurs are reportedly also keen on Joachim Andersen and Nikola Milenkovic, and with those two being a lot younger than Dunk, they may be the more fashionable options.

However, Dunk is proven at this level over a number of years, and he has the attributes to be a success under Jose Mourinho.

Indeed, standing at 6 ft 4, Dunk is a fantastic aerial presence, and he also reportedly idolises one of Mourinho’s greatest ever defenders, John Terry.

It remains to be seen whether or not Spurs will formalise their interest, but Dunk would certainly be an interesting choice if Tottenham decided to bring him in.
