According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a deal to sign a new mystery striker.

Tottenham have had a strong summer window so far, bringing in Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Gareth Bale.

A centre back and a striker are still needed though, and it’s now claimed that Tottenham are moving closer to landing a centre forward.

Spurs are allegedly close to agreeing a deal for a striker, and a hopeful of tying up the deal before Monday’s transfer deadline.

The report states that talks are ‘at a delicate stage’, but Tottenham now look set to give Jose Mourinho the striking addition he wants.

Enquiries have been made for Andrea Belotti, Habib Diallo, Calos Vinicius, Haris Seferovic and more, but it’s unclear who is arriving.

Efforts appear to have been ramped up following Son Heung-min’s injury, with Harry Kane needing cover and competition up top.

The identity of the striker in question will likely become clear in the coming days, and Spurs fans will be hoping they can ease the burden on Kane with a few goals this season.
