This Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Tottenham Hotspur story definitely has legs.

The Southampton midfielder has been linked with a move to Spurs for a number of weeks now.

And on Thursday night, The Times reported that Tottenham are hoping that £20 million will be enough to prise him from the South Coast.

And now there’s an interesting development from Denmark – where the player comes from – as Ekstra Bladet weigh in.

The Danish publication claims that the North Londoners are ‘certain’ to make a move for the 24-year-old this summer.

But, importantly, they add that Tottenham are only ‘one of the clubs’ that’ll go for Hojbjerg, who is out of contract with the Saints next summer.

The Lilywhites have a history of dithering with regards to transfer targets, with chairman Daniel Levy known for waiting until the last minute to pull the trigger on a move.

But it’s a risky strategy and if Levy definitely wants the player, he needs to act – and fast.
