Lille are willing to sell Zeki Celik for just £10.8m this summer with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham eyeing the Turkish international, according to Le10 Sport.

Considering that two of the biggest clubs in London are both in the market for a new right-back, the cut-price transfer fee placed on the head of an ever-improving youngster is unlikely to go unnoticed for long.

Turkish Football claimed in February that West Ham had been watching Celik on a regular basis around the turn of the year and were planning a summer bid for a man deemed the perfect replacement for a retiring Pablo Zabaleta.

The attack-minded 23-year-old has also caught the eye of two rather influential figures in north London.

Joao Sacramento knows Celik well from his time as an assistant at Lille.

And, as DHA reported in December, the new Spurs coach is telling anyone who will listen in north London that Celik could be the answer to an underachieving side’s right-back problem.

Jose Mourinho appears to agree.

BuzzSport claimed in March that the two-time Champions League winner is a fan of Celik who, at the time, was valued at around £25 million.

That was before the global health crisis reared it’s ugly head and plunged the entire footballing world into a financial crisis of never-before-seen proportions.

Transfer values across the world have plummeted as a result.

And, if le10 Sport are to be believed, Lille are now willing to sell Celik for a bargain £10.8 million – making him a risk worth taking in an era where bargain buys are few and far between.
