Tottenham youngster has made a good impression in pre-season on the man that matters most.

According to Football London, Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been ‘greatly impressed’ by teenage talent Oliver Skipp.
Skipp is with Tottenham’s first team at present on their pre-season tour of the United States.
He is just 17-years-old and has profited from an injury to Harry Winks which kept him off the club’s trip across the Atlantic, as well as the absences of the club’s World Cup contingent.
Tottenham put him in against Barcelona in pre-season alongside fellow youngster Luke Amos and the pair held their own, in a game which ended a 2-2 draw.

Pochettino being impressed is just the first step for Skipp, and the decline of Marcus Edwards since he starred on pre-season in 2016 is a warning sign that he must not take too much for granted.
This tour has provided youngsters like Amos and Skipp with a chance, and they have seized it.
Tottenham will not be looking to use either player to start in their Premier League kick off away to Newcastle, but it is possible that either Amos or Skipp ends up making the bench.
Beyond that, cup appearances await, and the experience on tour should provide Skipp with the hunger to kick on at under-23 level and proves he deserves more opportunities.
