Tottenham Hotspur want Victor Nelsson and have already had an opening bid for the Galatasaray defender rejected.
Galatasaray ace Victor Nelsson is wanted at Tottenham Hotspur as they chase new defenders this summer.
Turkish news outlet TRT Haber reported late on Wednesday night that Tottenham are showing a real interest in Nelsson.
This came after Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this week that Galatasaray officials were in England to discuss selling Nelsson.
Tottenham appear to be one of the mystery clubs chasing his signature but this won’t be a straightforward pursuit.
Sporx now report that Tottenham offered €13million (£11.3million) for Nelsson – an offer which was immediately rejected by Galatsaray vice-chairman Erden Timur during talks in London.
Timur told Tottenham that Nelsson won’t be leaving for less than €25million (£22million), meaning Spurs need to nearly double their offer.
Tottenham will allegedly make a new offer in the coming days but there his a huge gap to bridge here.

Tottenham Hotspur target Victor Nelsson has other interest
Nelsson is a teammate of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg on the international stage having bagged 10 Denmark caps.
The 24-year-old showed promise with Nordsjælland and Copenhagen before joining Galatasaray in 2021.
Now thriving in Turkey, Nelsson may be set for a Premier League move whether Tottenham meet the asking price or not.
Reports in Turkey back in April suggested that Crystal Palace would be signing Nelsson this summer.
The Eagles may still be keen and could pounce if Tottenham don’t pay up soon.
Takvim also add that Burnley as well as Brighton and Hove Albion have shown a firm interest in signing Nelsson.
It’s probably not a bad idea to look at signing players Brighton want given their transfer record.
Tottenham do need centre backs this summer and Nelsson could be their man – if they increase their opening bid.
