90Min report Tottenham have asked Championship side Middlesbrough to keep them informed about the future of Isaiah Jones. It comes after the right-winger sparkled against Spurs, in Boro’s FA Cup win on Tuesday night.

London-born star Jones, 22, was superb against Tottenham as Chris Wilder’s side produced another wonderful FA Cup scalp – after beating Manchester United on penalties. He kept Ryan Sessegnon quiet throughout the match.

Jones made his debut for Middlesbrough last season, but only played once. Now, this time around, he is a regular – clocking up 35 appearances at senior level in all competitions. In that time, he has had a hand in 10 goals.

Scoring once, he has laid on nine assists in the Championship. Brilliant form, that has caught the eye of big clubs. 90Min claim Manchester United, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Ajax, Leipzig and Atletico Madrid are keen.

But they also report that Spurs want to sign the player that tormented their left flank on Tuesday night – asking Boro to keep them informed over Jones’ future. He has a contract at Boro until the summer of 2025.

Tottenham eye Jones: Boro star would be a superb addition

He would be ideal for Conte’s system, but as a right wing-back. Playing in a defensive role against Spurs, it allowed him to start with the ball from deep and gather pace to run at the Spurs defence. At 22, he has an end product.

Playing in a similar mould to that of Tariq Lamptey, who has been linked with Spurs himself, Jones would surely fit perfectly in the role of Conte’s 3-4-3 system – like Sessegnon has. A London boy, he might be tempted.
