According to Catalan newspaper SPORT, Tottenham Hotspur have asked about the possibility of signing Watford defender Pervis Estupinan this summer.
It’s claimed that Barcelona have been tracking the left back, whilst Atletico Madrid have suddenly joined the race for his signature too.
Back in England, Manchester United and Tottenham have allegedly made contact about signing the Ecuadorian. It’s unclear whether that contact has been made with Watford or Estupinan’s representatives.
The 22-year-old has impressed on loan at Osasuna this season, sparking the interest. With one goal and four assists, he has excelled as an attack-minded left back.
Estupinan is quick and a talented crosser, which has helped him star at Osasuna. Tottenham may well view him as competition for the more defensive-minded Ben Davies, giving balance to Jose Mourinho’s options.
What’s remarkable is that Watford actually signed Estupinan in 2016, landing him from LDU Quito. Loan spells with Granada, Almeria, Mallorca and Osasuna have materialised, meaning he’s actually yet to make his Watford debut.

Four years since joining the Hornets, Estupinan could now earn a big move without even kicking a ball for the Vicarage Road side.
Tottenham will hope that they can win the race, but with Barca, Atletico and United all in the mix too, it won’t be an easy signing to make.
