Both Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton were linked with the winger before his 2017 transfer to Everton.

Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton have expressed an interest in Everton’s Ademola Lookman, according to the Daily Mirror (liveblog entry 13:16).
Lookman is back at Everton following a productive spell at RB Leipzig, for whom he scored five goals and set up three in 11 appearances.
And the tabloid claims the German side are pushing to sign him on a permanent contract, having held initial talks with the Toffees.

The report adds, however, that Everton are reluctant to lose Lookman – who is ‘open’ to a Leipzig return – which is likely to complicate Tottenham and Southampton’s hopes of signing him.
Both clubs were credited with interest in the 20-year-old before his £10 million move to Everton, while still a Charlton Athletic player.

Tottenham and Southampton are also keen on signing Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri, according to the Daily Mirror.
