Brighton, Crystal Palace, QPR and Tottenham are reportedly keen on Maidstone United’s Jack Richards.

According to the Daily Mail, Maidstone United are bracing themselves for late bids from Premier League clubs for Jack Richards, with Tottenham Hotspur believed to be keen.
Spurs made it four summer signings earlier today, with right back Serge Aurier joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain as a replacement for Kyle Walker, who joined Manchester City earlier this summer.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino could still look to bring in more new faces before tonight’s 11pm deadline, with Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente on the verge of completing his move to North London, whilst another midfielder may well arrive.

However, Spurs could also cast one eye towards their youth ranks, having seemingly identified a non-league talent who could come in either tonight or during the January transfer window.
The Daily Mail report that Spurs are interested in signing Maidstone United midfielder Jack Richards, after the attacking midfielder caught the eye in non-league football.
It’s added that, with Brighton, Crystal Palace and QPR all interested in landing Richards, with Maidstone bracing themselves for bids from clubs in the final hours of the transfer window.

The report claims that Maidstone would ideally like to keep Richards until at least January rather than lose him at such a late hour, but Premier League and Championship clubs may well smell a bargain before the deadline.
Richards, 18, may well hope to follow in the footsteps of former Maidstone defender Chris Smalling, who currently features for Manchester United and England, with more and more clubs deciding to look to non-league after the success of players like Michail Antonio, Jamie Vardy and Charlie Austin.
