According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham and Aston Villa have joined Newcastle in the race to sign Shakhtar Donetsk forward Manor Solomon.
What’s the story?
Well, it seems most of the Premier League want Solomon, not just Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle.
TEAMtalk add that Arsenal, Manchester City, Everton, Brighton and Southampton are also keen on signing the 22-year-old.
It was Israeli news outlet Walla who revealed Newcastle were interested.
Solomon put his name up in lights last season with 11 goals in all competitions, in what was an excellent individual campaign.
So far this season, the Shakhtar Donetsk No.19 has only scored two goals, although that clearly hasn’t stopped clubs taking an interest.
The 24-cap Israel international said back in February that it’s his dream to play in England.
In that respect, don’t be surprised to see him in the Premier League soon.
What could Manor Solomon offer Tottenham, Aston Villa or Newcastle?

We wouldn’t blame you for not knowing much about Solomon.
He plays his club football in Ukraine, and is an Israel international, both of which aren’t the most well-documented regions in football.
In that respect, a comparison would be helpful, and Solomon has been compared to one of the very best around.

It was the Guardian who wrote that the diminutive attacker plays like former Chelsea star Eden Hazard, in what is very high praise indeed.
If Solomon is even a fraction of the player Hazard was for Chelsea, the Premier League could soon be in for a real treat.
Keep your eyes on this saga, as TEAMtalk believe he could even be available as soon as January.
