Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a summer swoop for the right-back.
According to Deporte Valenciano, a move to Tottenham Hotspur is an intriguing prospect for Joao Cancelo, while his current club would welcome the cash boost prompted by his sale as they bid to make some late additions to their own squad.
Tottenham need another right-back following Kyle Walker’s departure, especially after the injury suffered by Kieran Trippier earlier this month, and Cancelo is the latest name to be thrown into the ring.

The 23-year-old has featured 90 times for Valencia to date, scoring four goals and providing nine assists in the process.
He previously came through the ranks at Benfica but only managed two appearances for their senior side, and a move to North London could be ideal at this stage of his career.
That is certainly the suggestion from the latest report, with Deporte Valenciano claiming Cancelo is interested in joining a Tottenham side that is yet to make a summer signing with time running out.
The same report suggests Valencia are yet to receive an acceptable offer for the player, whose contract runs until the summer of 2021.
For that reason alone he will not come cheap, although Tottenham have plenty of money following Walker’s huge move to Manchester City earlier this summer.
Tottenham fans are growing restless at the club’s inactivity in the transfer market and a move for Cancelo, who seemingly favours a move and whose club needs the cash, would ease those concerns somewhat.
