Tottenham Hotspur are said to have made contact over the potential signing of Jannick Vestergaard from Southampton by Sky Sports.
Tottenham are on the hunt for additions, and Jose Mourinho’s departure has apparently not changed their transfer plans.
Spurs work with a transfer committee, which means that their new manager may not be able to set all his own targets.
And even without a boss in place it seems that Tottenham are working on additions.
Spurs have now apparently made an enquiry over signing both Vestergaard and Jerome Boateng, with a new central defender seen as a priority.
Vestergaard has had an impressive season at Southampton, and his towering performances may make him an appealing addition.
Boateng is more experienced though, and could be a greater leader for Tottenham’s squad.
Boateng is also available on a free transfer, which means he could present a bargain signing for the North London side.

However, at the age of 32, there may be concerns that the pace of the Premier League could catch him out.
Tottenham’s desire to sign a central defender is hardly a surprise, as their current options failed to convince under Jose Mourinho, with Spurs’ backline not looking particularly assured all season.
