Give Me Sport claim that Tottenham have struck an agreement with Wolves star Adama Traore worth £120,000 a week – making him the club’s fourth highest-paid player. It is believed Traore will join on a loan-to-buy basis.
Traore, who turned 26 on Tuesday, has been linked with a move to Spurs over the last few weeks and with the Spain star in the final 18 months of his contract, a deal looks likely. GMS claim a deal has been struck with him.
Indeed, Spurs are looking to sign Traore on a loan-to-buy basis with an overall fee for the ex-Middlesbrough and Barcelona ace worth £20million. Part of that will be an up front loan fee, and the rest a permanent clause.
It is believed that the wage Traore will earn, when a deal turns permanent, will make him the club’s fourth-highest paid player behind Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Tanguy Ndombele as per Spotrac – worth £120,000 a week.
Traore to Tottenham: Deal edging closer for Wolves player
Spurs have got to get this one over the line. While many are pointing to the Spaniard’s lack of goals and assists – they are missing the point. They are missing the danger, threat, speed, strength and other traits Traore brings.
He is capable of taking the ball by himself and dragging his side up the top of the pitch. Antonio Conte sees him as a possible option as a right wing-back, which allows him to start deep and attack defences with momentum.
