Tottenham Hotspur are once again being linked with Wilfried Zaha.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are once again looking to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha this summer.

Zaha, 26, has impressed over the last three seasons with Palace, and racked up 10 goals and five assists last season, leading many to believe that it’s time for him to play in the Champions League.

The Eagles won’t want to lose two homegrown prospects in one summer given interest in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but Spurs may well move for Zaha.

It’s claimed that Zaha is on Mauricio Pochettino’s list to improve Tottenham’s squad this summer, and selling Christian Eriksen may help fund a move for the Ivorian.

Tottenham wanting Zaha isn’t a huge surprise. They’ve been linked on a number of occasions, and offered £15million to sign him in 2016, as reported by BBC Sport.

Pochettino appears to be a big fan, but the Daily Star reported in April that Spurs had decided that the £75million fee needed to sign Zaha was too pricey.

A move now would see Spurs perform a U-turn, and whilst Zaha is a talented player who would fit into Pochettino’s style of using versatile forwards such as Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura, it’s unclear whether they’d really splash the cash on him.

Midfielders like Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso should be the priorities, whilst fans may prefer that such huge money is either spent on a talented young attacker or a quality forward with elite experience in the Champions League – and Zaha sadly doesn’t tick either box.
