The Tottenham Hotspur defender has really improved over the past 12 months or so.
According to a report from Football.London, Tottenham will offer Ben Davies a new contract over the course of the next 12 months to reflect his recent progress at the club.
The Wales international’s current deal with Spurs does not expire until the summer of 2021, but he is now arguably the club’s first choice left-back ahead of Danny Rose.
The 25-year-old currently earns £60,000 per week at Tottenham, according to Spotrac, and he is the club’s joint 10th highest earner.
Davies joined Spurs from Swansea City in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £10 million, and he has gone on to chalk up 132 appearances in all competitions.
Much will obviously depend on whether Rose leaves Tottenham over the next year or so, but either way, the Welshman is now considered to be one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players.
And Football.London claims that he will be offered a new deal with the north London outfit over the next 12 months.
