Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has ruled out moving to Inter on loan, according to the latest reports.
Reports suggest that Fernando Torres would rather stay and fight for a place at Chelsea than accept a loan switch to Inter.
One of Inter’s major missions this summer is to add a world-class striker to their squad after lacking cutting edge last term.
The Nerazzurri have reportedly drawn up a list of targets that included Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko and Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
But Torres has emerged as the most probable objective with the Spaniard’s position at Chelsea looking unclear.
Inter are believed to have been in talks with Chelsea over a loan but are said to be trying to get Torres as cheaply as possible.
There have been reports that Inter wouldn’t want to pay a fee for the loan and would want Chelsea to keep paying a significant percentage of Torres’ wages.
But even if the two sides can agree a deal, Torres appears against it.
Torres is said to be settled in London and it is rumoured that he would see a move to Serie A as a step backwards at this stage in his career.
Chelsea are still working on a deal for Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa and the latest reports suggest they may try and broker a part exchange with Romelu Lukaku moving the other way.
