Gedson Fernandes could be brought back into Tottenham Hotspur’s squad on Sunday for Jose Mourinho’s side’s FA Cup clash with Marine, the London Evening Standard report.
Gedson has made just one previous appearance for Tottenham this term.
However, it seems that the midfielder could well be given a chance to say farewell to Tottenham on the pitch.
The LES expect Gedson to be recalled by Benfica this month, due to his lack of game time, but Mourinho is apparently plotting to put him back into Spurs’s team against their non league opponents.
Tottenham will, of course, go into the game as heavy favourites and Gedson shouldn’t struggle to cope, despite his lack of game time.

It could be an opportunity for the Portuguese player to prove his worth, though.
Gedson was brought in last January and his ability to cover in a number of positions made him a useful option towards the back end of last term, with Harry Winks even labelling him a ‘top player’ (Telegraph).
But, since bolstering his squad, Mourinho has regularly overlooked the loanee and it is no surprise that his spell at Tottenham now appears to be coming to an end.
