According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are still tracking Wolves forward Rafa Mir, and could make their move in the summer.
The Spanish news outlet states that Zinedine Zidane’s La Liga champions have been monitoring the 23-year-old since 2017.
Defensa Central add that the Spain Under-21 attacker was one step away from joining Los Blancos in 2017, but the move collapsed.
The report mentions that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is hoping to be able to fund a move for either Kylian Mbappe or Erling Braut Håland this summer.
However, seeing as they are expected to cost huge fees, the financial implications of the pandemic could make it impossible for Real Madrid to sign one of them.

As a result, Defensa Central say that Real Madrid are considering Mir as a cheaper alternative to Mbappe and Håland.
The Murcia-born forward has only ever made four appearances for Wolves, but he seems to be coming of age while on loan with Huesca.
Mir has scored nine goals in 22 appearances this season, which isn’t bad at all.

Coincidentally, Huesca faced Real Madrid in La Liga this evening, with the out-on-loan Wolves man starting upfront alongside Shinji Okazaki.
Mir hit the bar before Huesca went 1-0 up, although a double from Raphael Varane saw Real Madrid grab all three points.
