Tim Erlandsson has reportedly left Nottingham Forest and is close to agreeing a move elsewhere.

According to a report from Swedish outlet Expressen, Tim Erlandsson’s contract at Nottingham Forest has been torn up and the goalkeeper is close to agreeing a move to IK Frej.

Erlandsson is probably not a name that many of the City Ground faithful will be particularly familiar with. The Sweden under-21 international’s only game-time in England came in non-league football as he went out on loan to Barrow and Salford City.

He also enjoyed a temporary spell with Eskilstuna in 2017. But the 22-year-old now appears to be on the move again this month.

According to Expressen, Erlandsson’s contract with the Championship side has been brought to an end and he is now closing in on sealing a move to IK Frej, who play in Sweden’s second tier.

By now, it is not a major surprise that Erlandsson has seemingly not made the grade with Forest, having been on their books in some capacity since 2014 and still awaiting his first-team debut for the club.

And with a number of goalkeepers ahead of him in the pecking order at the City Ground, it is not a departure that any side will be particularly disappointed about as he now seemingly looks to get his career going elsewhere.
