Tianjin Quanjian are reportedly keen on Leeds United attacker Chris Wood.
According to ESPN, Leeds United striker Chris Wood has emerged as a target for Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian after they missed out on Chelsea’s Diego Costa.
Wood, 25, enjoyed an up-and-down first season at Elland Road last term, scoring 13 times in 37 games following a big-money move from Leicester City.

The New Zealand international had been the subject of criticism from fans, but has hit back this season with a stunning goal return.
Wood has now hit 17 goals in 29 games for Leeds this season, and his goals have been a major driving force behind Garry Monk’s push for promotion this season.

However, Wood’s exploits are now attracting interest, as ESPN reported earlier this week that Sunderland and West Ham United are keen on Wood, but Leeds’ asking price of £15million could put teams off.
Now, ESPN add that Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian are interested in signing Wood, having failed with a move to land Chelsea attacker Diego Costa this month.
Tianjin Quanjian not only have Fabio Cannavaro as their manager, but have just signed Axel Witsel in a deal worth £300,000-a-week, and they may now look to flex their financial muscles by moving for Wood.
Leeds are bound to rebuff any interest in their star striker, but the money on offer in China has already attracted the likes of John Obi Mikel, Oscar and Witsel, whilst Wood’s former international team-mates Chris Killen and Ivan Vicelich had spells with Shenzhen Ruby in recent years, and Tianjin Quanjian appear keen to make Wood just the third player from New Zealand to play in the Chinese Super League.
