Rangers midfielder Pena is likely to leave Ibrox this month.

Turkish outlet 24SaafFutbol claim Rangers midfielder Carlos Pena is in contact with three Turkish SuperLig sides over a January move away from Ibrox.
Rock-bottom Rizespor, 16th-placed BB Erzurumspor and 14th-placed Alanyaspor are all said to have made contact with the 28-year-old powerhouse over a move this month.
Interesting, SuperLig leaders Basaksehir are also interested in the 19-time Mexico international, who has returned to Rangers after his loan spell with Mexican side Necaxa expired.
Since joining the Gers under Pedro Caixinha in the summer of 2017 from Chivas for a whopping fee of £2.7million (Daily Star), Pena has struggled despite scoring five goals in 14 games from midfield.
He rejoined Caixinha on loan at Cruz Azul, but drinking problems saw his relationship with the Portuguese manager deteriorate. His loan was cut short and he joined Necaxa, but his problems did not improve despite checking into rehab.

Now, Pena is said to have returned to Rangers but as one of the club’s highest earners, Steven Gerrard will be desperate to get the versatile midfielder off of his wage bill to give him more manoeuvrability in this month’s window.
So, interest from four Turkish clubs will come as a huge boost. The fact that three of those are in contact with Pena suggests a move could materialise, finally ridding Rangers of what has to be one of the club’s biggest flops in their history.
