According to 90Min, West Ham United’s talks with Manchester United have brought up Phil Jones and Nemanja Matic.
The Red Devils want to sign Hammers hero Declan Rice, and it’s suggested that conversations between the two clubs have brought up some ideas.
United want to bring the price down by throwing players into the deal, and Jesse Lingard’s name has unsurprisingly been brought up after starring on loan at West Ham.
Yet defender Jones and midfielder Matic are also thought to have been discussed, with neither of them seemingly having futures at Old Trafford.
Jones worked with David Moyes at United, but his injury record and lack of playing time over the last couple of seasons could be an issue.
Matic still has two years left on his deal, but he has started just 10 Premier League games this season and may need to move on.

West Ham would be foolish to take either Jones or Matic in a deal though. Jones isn’t much of an upgrade on what West Ham already have, whilst Matic is past his best and commands huge wages.
Lingard would make some sense, but with The Sun claiming that West Ham have told United that no deal for Rice will be done this summer, Hammers fans will hope their defensive midfield star stays put.
