Havard Nordtveit struggled for West Ham United last term.
According to German outlet Kicker, three Bundesliga clubs are willing to offer Havard Nordtveit a way out of West Ham United.
The 26-year-old joined West Ham on a Bosman last summer after his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach expired but, despite being a very promising addition, failed to impress in his first season under Slaven Bilic.
The Norwegian looked a fine talent at Gladbach, but Bilic played the defensive midfielder – who can also operate in central defence – at right-back for much of last season and it did very little for the ex-Arsenal man.
And according to Kicker, Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen are willing to take him back to Germany this summer.
It would be harsh to label Nordtveit a failure based on last season, and many West Ham fans might prefer if he was given one more campaign in his preferred position before casting a judgement on him.
He enjoyed six fruitful years at Monchengladbach and perhaps there is enough talent there to justify another season with the Hammers.
