According to the Daily Mail, Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is desperate to move to the Premier League – and thinks he can be a success.
It’s claimed that Thiago wants to experience English football, having already starred in both Spain and Germany with Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively.
The report states that Thiago had no doubt that he would excel in England when Manchester United wanted him in 2013. Seven years on, he is allegedly ‘even more convinced’ that he would be a star in England.
It looks likely that Thiago will leave Bayern this summer, and the favourites to sign him may well be Liverpool as things stand.
SPORT claimed on Thursday that Liverpool area in advanced talks to sign Thiago, with Bayern demanding a fee of around €35million (£32million).
The 29-year-old is out of contract in 2021, and Liverpool – at least according to those reports in Thiago’s native Spain – are closing in.

He doesn’t really fit into Liverpool’s transfer policy in recent years, but with one year left on his deal, the Reds may feel that they can land a bargain.
With the midfielder keen on a move to England, the rumours of a move to Anfield will only ramp up, with no other Premier League clubs linked.
