Theo Archibald will leave Celtic and join Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that Scottish Premiership giants Celtic have agreed a deal with Brentford in the Championship in England regarding Archibald.

A compensation fee has been agreed between the two clubs, according to the report, and the 19-year-old attacking midfielder will switch to the Bees.

“The switch will be completed once Archibald has played his final game on loan at Albion Rovers,” states the report in The Scottish Sun.

Good move?

Archibald is a talented and promising young player, and moving to Brentford could turn out to be a very wise decision.

While Celtic are a much bigger club than Brentford, the attacking midfielder is not going to get much playing time in competitive matches for the Bhoys.

It is not going to easy to play regularly for the Bees either, but at least the 19-year-old stands a chance of making an appearance from time to time.

Celtic have already won the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish League Cup this season, and have also progressed to the final of the Scottish Cup.

Meanwhile, Brentford currently find themselves ninth in the table with 63 points from 44 matches.
