The West Ham United striker is not the most popular of figures at the London Stadium at the moment.

According to a report from the Sun, Marko Arnautovic has taken the unusual step to contact some of the West Ham fans directly, in a bid to get them back on side.
The Austrian was heavily linked with an exit from the Hammers in January, as bids were made for his services from China, and the player himself, as well as his agent, was quite vocal in his desire to leave east London.
Arnie eventually stayed with West Ham, and then went on to sign a new contract, but he has really struggled with form and fitness since the end of the transfer window, failing to score in six outings.

The 29-year-old has been targeted for criticism from some sections of the Hammers fanbase, and according to a report from the Sun, he has personally contacted numerous fans in an attempt to get his side of the story across.
It remains to be seen whether Arnautovic’s ploy will do the trick, but at the end of the day, the only real way to get the West Ham fans’ full support back is to do the business on the pitch, and he quite simply has been nowhere near doing that over the past couple of months.
