Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be chasing Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.

According to the Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are definitely in the market to buy Everton’s Ross Barkley this summer.

Tottenham had tentative plans to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, but their interest in the Ivory Coast international has cooled.

However, Spurs still hold a big interest in Barkley – and could make a huge bid to sign the England international.

Barkley is one of Mauricio Pochettino’s top targets, with the attacking midfielder potentially available.

Barkley’s contract at Everton is set to expire at the end of next season, and he is yet to pen new terms at Goodison Park.

If Barkley does not sign a new deal, Ronald Koeman has already confirmed that Everton will be selling in the summer.

Spurs could help to fund the deal for Barkley by selling Kyle Walker.

Mauricio Pochettino is willing to offload the right-back, who has lost his place in Tottenham’s first-team recently.

Pochettino does not mind if Walker is sold to Manchester City, who are thought to be interested, but Daniel Levy would rather that the England international moves abroad.
