According to the Telegraph, Manchester United plan to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Crystal Palace and replace him with Thomas Meunier.
What’s the story?
Well, Crystal Palace could be about to get themselves a bargain.
The south Londoners sold their academy graduate to Manchester United back in 2019 for a sum of £45m – a record sale for the Eagles.
However, Erik ten Hag is keen to replace Wan-Bissaka, deciding to keep Diogo Dalot as competition for the expected new arrival.
That man could be Meunier, who is valued at £12.6m by Borussia Dortmund.
Interestingly, the Telegraph believe the Belgium international was actually considered by Manchester United before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer chose to sign Wan-Bissaka.
It remains to be seen if Borussia Dortmund sell Meunier, who has two years remaining on his contract and is also attracting interest from Barcelona.
However, if Manchester United receive encouragement that a deal can be done, it seems Wan-Bissaka will head back to SE25 in a cut-price deal.
Crystal Palace could humiliate Manchester United
In our view, it would be extremely embarrassing for Manchester United if they sold Wan-Bissaka to Crystal Palace for just £10m.
If it happens, the Red Devils have effectively paid the Eagles £40m to have the right-back on a three-year loan.
There are also little signs that Wan-Bissaka is the problem at Old Trafford – in truth, he has done little wrong in a Manchester United shirt, but has sadly been caught up in the circus that the club is right now.

For example, he was nowhere to be seen on Saturday, and Ten Hag still watched his side concede four goals in 35 minutes against Brentford.
If Crystal Palace can re-sign Wan-Bissaka, we’re confident they’ll restore his value back to £50m in no time.
