Tottenham Hotspur are close to signing Lyon star Tanguy Ndombele.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a deal to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
It’s claimed that a deal is close, and Ndombele is just waiting for a few final details to be sorted out before he can travel to England for a medical.
However, there are conflicting reports emerging tonight, with Get French Football News noting that the €60million (£53.75million) bid hasn’t been accepted or rejected.
The report does though note that Tottenham are now all alone in the race for Ndombele, with main rivals Juventus pulling out of the race in order to sign Adrien Rabiot instead.
Spurs will hope that Di Marzio is right, and that Ndombele is on the verge of a move to North London, breaking the club’s transfer record in the process after nearly 18 months without a new signing.
Ndombele, 22, has starred for Lyon since arriving from Amiens in 2017, turning his superb loan spell into a permanent move last summer.

The French international is the ideal box-to-box midfielder, and would provide Tottenham with the drive and technical ability needed in central midfield after Mousa Dembele’s January exit.
It does seem that Spurs are moving closer to a deal for Ndombele, but with conflicting reports emerging tonight, fans may just need to hold their horses before breaking out into excitement.
