TuttoMercatoWeb claim talks between Fiorentina and Lucas Torreira over a permanent deal have broken down – and Juventus are lurking, to sign the Arsenal ace. Reports claim that he could go for just £12million, this summer.
Torreira, 26, joined Fiorentina on loan from Arsenal last summer after failing to earn a permanent deal at Atletico Madrid. He has since moved back to Italy, shining for La Viola on loan over the last 12 months.

He has clocked up 35 appearances for Fiorentina, scoring five goals. A permanent deal was included, worth £12million. But it appears that talks between Torreira’s representatives and Fiorentina have hit the skids.
TMW report as much, claiming a permanent move now seems ‘incurable’. Meanwhile, Juventus are showing an interest and are waiting in the wings ahead of a move for Torreira, who cost Arsenal £26million (Mirror).
Juventus eye Arsenal man Torreira: Is he good enough for Juventus?
Perhaps. He has impressed in Serie A this season, and did so at Sampdoria beforehand which initially earned him a move to Arsenal. For just £12million, he is a bargain for Juventus – and he is still only 26 years of age.
But for Arsenal, they need a midfielder themselves and why not Torreira? He hardly did anything wrong before leaving – the signing of Thomas Partey seeing him go. Perhaps, instead of making a loss, Arsenal should keep him.
Whether Mikel Arteta is open to making a u-turn and ready to bring Torreira back into the fold at Arsenal remains to be seen. Fiorentina do remain desperate to bring Torreira in; an intriguing few days ahead.
