Newcastle United have been linked with a whole host of players of late, and two of them may actually be swapped for each other.
The Magpies haven’t yet seen their takeover go through, meaning it’s difficult for them to make plans for new signings this summer.
Still, Newcastle scouts will have spotted potential targets, and The Chronicle noted in March that the Magpies were keeping tabs on Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien.
The 25-year-old was wanted by Newcastle in January too, so it’s no great shock to hear that Newcastle still want to land him.
Now, Le10 Sport claim that Cyprien could be involved in a swap deal – and it would involve another player who was linked with Newcastle this season.
The Chronicle claimed in September that Newcastle were ‘continually’ monitoring Sevilla winger Rony Lopes, and had watched him more than 10 times.

No January deal materialised, and Newcastle may now see Lopes head to Nice in a swap that would see Cyprien join Sevilla in exchange.
If Newcastle still want either player, they may need to move very quickly, as talks over such a deal are underway and they may miss out on not one, but two possible targets.
