According to reports from the Telegraph, Swansea City are edging closer to bring back their former striker, Wilfried Bony, before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Bony joined Manchester City in 2015 for a reported fee of £28m, as reported by BBC, but has struggled at City and has scored only six Premier League goals in 36 games.

The 28-year-old joined Stoke City on loan last season, and had cut a sorrow figure as well. The Ivory Coast striker has no future at City, and will be allowed to return to his former club for £13 million.

The Sunday Mirror reported last week that Valencia, Marseille and Spartak Moscow have shown interest in Bony, but the player prefers a move to the Liberty Stadium.

The Telegraph adds that Bony’s move to the Liberty Stadium will pave the way for Chelsea to sign Swansea striker Fernando Llorente.

The 32-year-old impressed in his first season at Swansea, scoring 15 Premier League goals last season.The Telegraph reports that the Blues are expected to sign the Spaniard for around £15 million.
